Located on Montague Road, Veneziano Coffee Roasters has become somewhat of an icon in the Brisbane coffee scene having been at their West End premises for about 9 years. VCR Brisbane has undergone some facelifts over the years and is showing no signs of ageing! It has a cool ambience and is conducive to conducting a business meeting or chilling with friends or sitting in lycra!

An added bonus is the upstairs seating where you can check out the roasting warehouse though the large window on the mezzanine floor … or look down on the action below.

There is always an array of blends that have been roasted on the premises. The Forza blend is the most regularly offered blend and includes arabica and robusta beans. We went for a tasty Magic on the blend. This is not a milky drink for the faint hearted! It provided a smooth and mellow with a powerful caffeine hit … a great morning starter for sure.

With access to Ninety Plus coffees, there is always a tasty single origin to tempt you. The Rwandan single origin we tried recently was given a stamp of approval by the barista and he suggested it as a pour over. And so it was! The clear, crisp coffee certainly got out taste buds humming.

You can upgrade your coffee making skills and do some cupping in air-conditioned comfort. Keep an eye out on VCR social media as they often organise public cupping and sessions on brewing. From our very early days of enjoying coffee together, we are boomerangs at Veneziano Coffee Roasters … we keep coming back!
