Bean Brewding’s Flavour of the Month for March 2015. They are more affectionately known as our Flavourites and our flavourite coffees this month were at:
When planning City Cat Coffee Tours the highlights are riding the City Cat and getting a good coffee. Don’t try both at the same time you may get fined. We enjoyed Guatemalan single origin short blacks at Bellissimo Coffee. The Bulimba roastery is only a stones throw away from the Brisbane River.
Dovetail on Overend
During the Walking Tour of the Valley, we heard rumours of the amazing ‘Gold Coast Project’ – in fact we were sitting on a stash at Reverends! Coffee beans grown on Mt. Tambourine and roasted by Uncle Joe’s. It’s not often you get to taste coffee grown on Brisbane’s doorstep. With limited stock available, it was a must try and Jered suggested sampling the bean as a black and a white. Wow! Wow! You’d never guess this as an Aussie coffee – a real depth of flavour in both formats … once again impeccably delivered by the peeps at Dovetail!
Using beans from the nearby coffee roaster Neli (based at Clontarf), we sat on a sunny Sunday afternoon and sipped our coffees while overlooking the water of Moreton Bay. The location of Valori Espresso is nearly as amazing as their coffee; we had a Brazilian Sertaozinho Yellow Bourbon prepared as a filter. It was a fantastic way to finish off a day by the bay!
