Our first Suburban Spotlight is Hedge Espresso tucked away in the leafy suburb of Salisbury. This little gem has been around for just over a year and it’s a shame it’s taken us so long to visit. The revitalised corner shop has so many nooks and crannies, you’re sure to find a great spot to enjoy the Hedge blend.
The La Marzocco hums just like the Victa engines in the shop from days gone by. The house blend is roasted by Bear Bones Espresso and is a delight to drink hot or cold. If you like the Papa Bear blend, you’ll enjoy the Hedge offering! The first round was flat whites that delivered a smooth cup that went down easily. Hedge also prepare their blend as cold brew so it was a must try and turned out to be the perfect antidote for a warm Autumn day. The bendy straws were a cool addition and took one bean back to their childhood.
This place has a great vibe and superb coffee. We’ll definitely be back before another year passes. No point standing on the outside looking in … so if you’re ever near Salisbury … head inside!
Tell us if you know a hidden gem we could visit as our next Suburban Spotlight just like Hedge Espresso.
